MoreĪ group of friends went to Bonefish in Gainesville to celebrate a birthday on Saturday, 1/23/21. The food was fantastic, the service superb, and the manager more than happy to make some extra big bucks that day (we eat and drink a fair sum). Fortunately, Glory Days across the parking lot was more than happy to immediately take us in. No offer of compensation, no effort at a sincere apology, no asking "Wow, what could have happened here with this regular group of loyal Dine Rewards customers?" Nothing. Historically we have always had great food and great service, but this abrupt treatment was shocking.

I don't know what he thought 12 people were going to do for 4 hours before they would have the privilege of dining at this establishment, but the decision was made to never return as a group. Though he said he was sorry, his manner was rather indifferent toward us and he could only tell us to come back at 7 o'clock. He had no care whatsoever for the fact that we were regular customers. He also said that he had 40 reservations that he could not move and therefore he would not be able to accommodate our group. However, when we arrived this time the manager told us the system said our reservation was for 7 pm (our group has NEVER made a reservation for 7 pm) and that he could not seat us until then. At that time, I watched the hostess make the reservation as I gave her the information. I made the reservation for 3 PM on a Saturday (our regular time and regular day) for 12 people at the host desk as our group was leaving from the previous gathering there the month before.
